The who and why

Well I figured my first blog post would be the best place to tell a little bit about myself and how Shanelle Ann Photography all came about. So here it goes......

I'm Shanelle Petersen. I'm a small town girl just living my dream. I have lived in Fielding, UT most of my life and don't plan on going anywhere else. There is just something special about dirt roads and stary nights. I'm a stay at home mom and wife. I have 3 kids Stetson (would have been 5 but he was stillborn), Ruxon (3), and Brynn (20months). I have been married to my husband for 8 years and it has been the best decision I ever made. All I ever wanted to do when I grew up was be a wife and mother.

Most days you will fine me hanging out at home with the kids. I'm definitely a home body. I also enjoy, playing games, hanging out with my family, camping, fishing, sunny days, and peach lemonade. My guilty pleasures are binging Netflix shows, napping whenever I can, eating way to much junk food, and just plain being lazy! I would not survive without lazy days ha ha. Everyone deserves a lazy day!

Alright so let's get to the why. I have an obsession with pictures. I love them!!! I love looking back on old pictures and seeing all the memories. I had thought for a long time that taking pictures would be so fun and something I knew I would enjoy, I just never knew where to start. It was all soooo overwhelming. It wasn't until I had kids and was paying a small fortune in pictures (totally worth every penny) that I figured now would be a good time to do it. I wanted to capture all those special moments and all the things in between.

So I finally talked my hubs into letting me get a camera and I wish I would have done it way sooner! I love that I get to do something that I absolutely love that still allows me to stay home with my family. I'm love that I'm able to capture all those special moments for my family and other families as well. I want to capture all the moments with all the feelings and emotions so that when you look at the pictures years down the road you not only see the memories but you feel them too!
